“The scariest moment is always just before you start.”
The Teen Fiction Writing Workshop is a week-long program held every school holiday in Paris for children between the ages of 12 and 17. Craft classes are taught in creating narrative, setting tone, fleshing out characters and building suspense.
Students have the opportunity to share and revise their own work with the feedback of their peers and teachers.
Between classes and tutorials, there will be time to read books, write in cafes, learn about great writers in Paris and make friends from around the world.
At the end of the course, each student will have a short story ready for entry into upcoming short story competitions.
Class sizes are capped at eight so that each student can receive maximum attention to their writing. Availability of places is therefore limited.
